AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Welcome rain fell in many areas from storms Thursday night, but the level of Lake Travis only rose one inch and remains 31 feet lower than normal. This week's drought update has only showed very slight improvement.24-hour rain totals as of 6AM ThursdayClear, beautiful weather settled in behind the cool front and will remain overnight into early Friday. But gusty south winds ramp up through the day Friday, leading to the quick return of severe-weather-inducing heat and humidity.The Storm Prediction Center has our entire area in a 2 out of 5 or 3 out of 5 threat of damaging storms Friday evening as another potent low pressure system dives into the state. The main concern is large hail, and wind damage is secondary. Gophers football player Miles Fleming, a third-year defensive back, said Thursday he will enter the NCAA transfer portal.Fleming, who appeared in seven games in 2021-22, is the first departure since Minnesota’s spring practices ended on Saturday.Fleming, of Columbus, Ohio, thanked head coach P.J.
