Devin Padelford was a sophomore at Woodbury High School who needed extra money for a club soccer trip to Spain in 2019, so the Maplewood native took a temp job working concessions at Allianz Field during Minnesota United’s inaugural game that April in St. Paul.“I don’t really remember working; I was just watching the game,” Padelford recalled.Padelford’s newer full-time job is Loons’ left back and the 20-year-old Minnesotan made his MLS debut in a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC on Saturday.“It was electric,” Padelford said postgame. “… I kind of just blacked out. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - Police are investigatig a home invasion that one left person dead early Sunday morning.The Ferguson Police Department got the call for a home invasion around 3:46 a.m. on the 1500 block of Knollstone Drive. Upon arrival, the victim was found in front of the home after being shot. It was later revealed to police that several suspects entered the home looking for money. ST. LOUIS - Officers are investigating a carjacking that took place Saturday night in St. Louis City.The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on the 700 block of North 13th Street, where the victim was sitting inside her Nissan Altima and was approached by an armed suspect in her passenger's seat. OAKLAND — A man was found dead late Saturday night inside a burning truck in the East Oakland hills, authorities said.The coroner’s office was trying to confirm the man’s identity and contact his relatives before releasing his name.An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.The man was found dead after firefighters were called about a pick-up truck on fire about 11:44 p.m. Saturday in the 9500 block of Mountain Boulevard, a mostly residential area next to Interstate 580 and west of Calafia Avenue.It took firefighters until about midnight to put the fire out.
