Brinks truck driver robbed at gunpoint in Hayward

(BCN) -- An armored truck driver was robbed at gunpoint in Hayward on Monday morning and fortunately escaped injury, police said. Officers were called at 8:55 a.m. about the robbery of a Brinks truck in the 1000 block of A Street. These Bay Area cities could see 90-plus degree temps this week No injuries were reported, according to police. Police are not yet saying how much was taken, and didn't provide a description of the suspects or their vehicle to avoid compromising the investigation. NEW YORK (AP) — Kathy Rinaldi will leave her role as the captain of the U.S. team for the Billie Jean King Cup after this year’s finals.The U.S. Tennis Association announced the change on Monday.Rinaldi took over as the team captain in December 2016 and guided the Americans to the title in 2017. DALLAS (AP) — Personal information for more than 8,000 applicants to become pilots at American Airlines and Southwest Airlines was stolen when hackers broke into a data base maintained by a recruiting company.The breach at Austin, Texas-based Pilot Credentials occurred April 30, and the airlines learned about it on May 3. A man was arrested in connection with a sexual assault that allegedly took place in Arlington, Virginia, last month, according to the Arlington County Police Department.Julio Basurto, 42, of Arlington, has been charged with abduction and forcible sodomy. He was arrested on June 22 without incident after detectives reviewed evidence and interviewed witnesses, police said in a news release.Around 6:40 a.m. on May 21, police met with a woman who reported a sexual assault inside an unknown black vehicle.
