(KRON) -- A suspect has been arrested after one person was killed Thursday morning in a stabbing at a mobile home park in Union City, according to Mountain View Police Department, which is assisting in the case. Union City Police Department officers were dispatched to the Tropics Mobile Home Park located at 33000 Almaden Boulevard at 7:46 a.m. Thursday on a report of a person being stabbed. (KRON) – The San Jose Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred on a creek trail on Tuesday involving an unidentified suspect.San Jose officers were alerted of a stabbing on the night of Oct. 3 at the Penitencia Creek Trail. According to San Jose officers located an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries.The victim was walking the trail when an unidentified male attacked him from the rear and then fled the scene, according to the police investigation. The suspect utilized a knife or a sharp-edged implement during the assault. BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has formally requested federal aid and a major disaster declaration to help people recover from deadly wildfire destruction in August in the eastern part of the state.The Democratic governor said in a news release Wednesday that he sent a letter to President Joe Biden asking him to make financial help available for people affected by the Gray fire and Oregon Road fire through the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s individual assistance program. “This disaster has destroyed more primary homes than any other wildfire in Washington state history,” Inslee wrote in his 44-page letter. “The scale of destruction is immense and has exhausted all local and state resources to adequately support the response and recovery to this major disaster.”Nearly 450 primary homes were damaged or destroyed by the two fires, according to the letter.
