Destructive Sunshine Destructive Sunshine?!….Such a preposterous title for a blog!Hear me out! I like sunshine just as much as the next weather guesser but that’s what we had today and will likely have it again tomorrow! So what exactly is destructive sunshine? Well, it typically occurs in the spring season when you have leftover cold pockets of air (associated with a storm) up high in the sky. When these cold pockets of air drift overhead while the sun is out (like this morning) you’ll see destructive sunshine go to work. Check out the visible satellite imagery around 9am …Sunshine in metro Boston. As the sun started heating up the ground, the warm air begins to rise and bump into the cold pocket of air upstairs. That process leads to the creation of clouds and by midday-afternoon, clouds were everywhere across the region (sans the Cape/Islands)So…the strong April sunshine helps to create the clouds out there today…hence, destructive sunshine! I think it’ll hap...

Column: Made up rape story or not, David Choe’s remarks were public long before ‘Beef.’ Our silence on them is deafening. Nina Metz | Chicago TribuneThe Netflix TV series “Beef” stars Ali Wong and Steven Yeun as strangers who become locked in an unwinnable battle to destroy one another’s lives after a road rage encounter. I admire the show more than I like it — it pinged all my anxiety receptors — but I liked it enough to give the show three stars.I might have written something different had I known what I know now.David Choe has a supporting role in “Beef,” playing the cousin to Yeun’s character — he’s a bad influence recently out of prison and looking to set up his next scam.On Twitter, a few days after the show premiered, investigative journalist Aura Bogado resurfaced a podcast clip from 2014 featuring Choe gleefully boasting to his co-hosts about committing rape while getting a professional massage. The story is graphic and disturbing, and involves Choe committing a sex act in front of a masseuse and then forcing her into a sex act.I was unaware of this until last week.
