Arrest made in fatal St. Louis shooting ST. LOUIS – An arrest has been made in the September 19 shooting in south St. Louis. Desante White, 29, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. The victim, Timothy Moore, 32, was in the 2700 block of Miami when he was found in the street after being shot. When EMS arrived, they notified the police that Moore was dead. Note: previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the shooting happened in Franklin County.

The attack happened near midnight Thursday in the Sinaloa state capital of Culiacan. The state is home to the drug cartel of the same name. State police said at least three gunmen tried to storm into the hospital, but two were killed in a gunbattle with security personnel. The doctor was apparently caught in the crossfire. A third assailant was wounded, but scuffled with a police officer as he was being taken to another hospital. The wounded assailant grabbed the officer’s gun and shot himself with it, police said.
