Minnesota United has let go of manager Adrian Heath and technical director Mark Watson with two games remaining in the 2023 season, a source confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Friday morning.Assistant coach Sean McAuley will serve as interim head coach for the final two matches. Chef Sean Sherman, co-owner of Owamni and founder of North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS), is curating the menu for a dinner in his honor at the Minneapolis Depot on Oct. 24.Sherman will be presented with the 2023 Julia Child Award at the gala, which is open to the public. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Two Albany men were arrested following car theft investigations at the Hertz Rental Car Company at the Albany International Airport. Odiah Austin, 24, and Tyshaun Phelps, 19, each face several charges. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, Austin and Phelps showed up at the airport in a stolen car for the purpose of stealing another car that belonged to Hertz Rental Car. Deputies say Phelps and Austin broke into the Hertz booth, smashed the window in the parking garage, and stole keys to the stolen car. On Tuesday, while sheriff's investigators were processing Austin, deputies said Phelps showed up at the police station to check on Austin. RENSSELAERVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Saratoga Springs man was arrested Thursday following an investigation regarding home renovations. Dakota Smith, 28, is charged with third-degree grand larceny. According to the Albany County Sheriff's Office, investigators say Smith took over $39,000 from an older couple, promising to renovate their home in the town of Rensselaerville in December 2022. Deputies say during the investigation, it was learned Smith did not start any of the work that he promised, stopped communicating with the couple, and never returned the money.Deputies say Smith has a history of embezzlement around the Capital Region and faces charges in multiple jurisdictions. A fatality involving a pedestrian on the 101 Freeway prompted officials to close the southbound lanes through the Hollywood area Friday morning.The incident was reported by Los Angeles police as a vehicle versus pedestrian around 4:45 a.m. on the 101 Freeway at Vermont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
