Former Dodger pitcher Trevor Bauer revealed evidence presented in discovery after settling lawsuits derived from 2021 sexual assault accusations.The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office never pressed criminal charges on Bauer after reviewing an investigation by the Pasadena Police Dept. Male Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Accident near North near North Vermont AvenueLOS ANGELES, CA (October 10, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a hit-and-run incident on the 101 Freeway claimed the life of a man.The incident occurred near North Vermont Avenue, with dispatchers arriving at the scene around 4:45 a.m.As of now, the circumstances leading up to the collision are unclear. OAKLAND — Police here have identified a 20-year-old man who was killed in late August during a shooting that also wounded an 18-year-old man.Demani William, 20, of San Francisco, was shot and killed Aug. 30. No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, and police are investigating the possibility it was gang-related, authorities say.William and an 18-year-old man were found suffering from gunshot wounds on the 1400 block of 8th Avenue, a little after midnight on Aug. 30. SAN MATEO – A 12-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of stabbing another boy Monday night at Central Park in San Mateo, police said.The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. at the park, located at 50 East 5th Avenue, the San Mateo Police Department said in a statement. Officers arrived to find a 15-year-old boy suffering from at least one stab wound to the left side of his body.Officers provided first aid until paramedics arrived to take the victim to a hospital.Following the stabbing, the suspect rode away from the scene on a bicycle, police said.An investigation revealed the victim and the suspect knew each other, and officers were able to identity the suspect, police said.Officers located and interviewed a number of witnesses while searching for the suspect. (KRON) -- A great horned owl that was brought to the Oakland Zoo after being rescued from the center divide of Interstate 580 in Castro Valley is stable, according to zoo officials. The owl was brought to the zoo's vet hospital after being rescued by the California Highway Patrol last week.After the initial rescue, the CHP was directed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife to transport the owl to a nearby wooded area. (KRON) -- After being closed in both directions due to a gas leak earlier on Tuesday, Dublin Boulevard has reopened, the Dublin Police Department announced. The closure was between Tassajara Road and Brannigan Street.
