ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Charlotte, and it's about housework. Here's her email: Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. I have a real dilemma. When my husband and I started our family, I put my career on hold to be home with the kids, which meant I took care of them and looked after the house. Once they were both in school, I went back to work, and my husband and I split household duties. Then the pandemic happened and my husband was laid off. It worked out pretty well because I made enough to support us and he was able to be home with the kids while they were out of school, and do the household chores. When they went back, he started looking for a job and immediately stopped doing most of the housework. He still hasn’t found a job yet and thinks that looking for a job is a full-time job, so he should only have to do half the work at home, like we did when we were both employed. I...

Ask Amy: Sister ponders going “no-contact”

Published Thu, 06 Mar 2025 16:17:56 GMT

Dear Amy: I am the youngest of three sisters and have always had a rough relationship with my mom and sisters.I don’t fit in. They are all about drama.Recently, I received a call from my dad, asking me to visit.I was so stressed out the night before that I didn’t sleep. That morning, I almost threw up from so much anxiety about it. I never know what I’ll say that will set one of them off. Then the others follow suit.I can’t ask them questions. Anything I do say gets used against me.I have tried to give them a taste of their own medicine, but that only seems to increase the bullying.I want them in my life because they are my parents and sisters, but I don’t want to walk on eggshells around them.We have gone two years without talking before, and recently we went over a year with no contact. The times I didn’t have them in my life were amazing. My relationship with my husband flourished. I wasn’t stressed. My daughters did well because I was happy enough to...

Kosovo's prime minister (pictured) on Tuesday (13 June) presented a plan to defuse tensions in its Serb-majority north that would include fresh local elections and cuts in special police, bowing to pressure from key Western supporters of its independence. But the arrest the same day of a Serb identified by the Kosovo Albanian interior minister as an organiser of assaults on NATO peacekeepers during Serb unrest last month stirred fresh anger in the volatile region.Around 200 Serbs gathered in North Mitrovica to protest against the arrest, with Kosovo Albanian police in anti-riot gear standing a few hundred metres away. US soldiers with the KFOR peacekeeping force were also in the vicinity.During the operation to arrest Milun Milenkovic, three Kosovo Albanian policemen were lightly injured, Interior Minister Xhelal Svecla said on his Facebook page. Some 30 peacekeepers and 52 Serbs were injured in the clashes late last month after ethnic Albanian mayors took office following a local ele...

He’s had trouble finding a first-class attorney to represent him at his Miami arraignment. His White House associates are now witnesses. His vice president is running against him.But Miami, oh Miami — alleged capital of democratic yearnings for the rest of the hemisphere — is staging a love fest for America’s caudillo in his darkest hour. The special counsel bringing Donald Trump to justice said the ex-president “put our country at risk.”But that Trump has been indicted on 37 felony counts of documented treasonous behavior — grave acts like bragging about possessing a military plan to invade Iran, knowingly stealing thousands of classified documents and storing them at Mar-a-Lago and obstructing justice instead of returning them — is only fuel to show him more adoration.“We love you!” a woman in an unmistakably rhythmic Miami accent kept shrieking as Trump entered his hotel in Doral Monday for an overnight stay before his arraignment Tuesday at the downtown Mi...
